So I have a rockford Prime R1S410 10" sub that handles 150watts RMS and 300 max. My amp for it is a Sound Storm F1200M that pushes 200watts RMS and 1200 watts max. Don't plan on blasting the sound and I'll have the amp turned down low. Will this still have the potential of blowing the sub?

sound storm lies about there rms wattage, so its probably more like 100 watts rms.

just dont turn the gain up more than half way.

a good way to test it is to get the bassiest sound you can find.

crank it up to a good level, then adjust the sub to where you just start to hear a little distortion.

then back it down. but dont let it distort much or for very long, because you can burn the voice coils out. but for a second or 2 its fine.

yea sound storm isnt the best but for that low end sub itll be fine. just be carefull with your gain....most people just turn it all the way cause "its louader" but itll burn up there stuff.
