If you're going that overboard with the oil, at least go overboard with trans fluid changes too. 5r55es need fresh fluid to live a long time! A clean engine won't do you much good if the trans is dead.

i actually just flushed all the fluids and changed them to synthetic. trans just got flushed and a new filter put in.

rear end, t-case, front diff, all just got done.

i just dont run synthetic in the engine.

UPDATES..



i put in a pioneer stereo with (4) 6.5 pioneer speakers.

sound real nice.

also repainted the grille silver to make it look more original.

nothing too much different.

put the stock muffler back on without the resonator. the thrush was too annoying to drive everyday.

and i recovered my center armrest with black leather because the original tan one had a slight rip in it.

im probably going to be selling it soon.

im looking into a 2000 and up ranger ext cab with lower miles. dont need something as big as this. and the explorer has 142,000 as of this morning.

lol, i gotta get money to fix my 84 ranger, than when the explorer sells i can get my 98-02 ext cab 5 speed, 4 cylinder ranger and have some fun again.
