i bought a body mount set for a bronco II, and i was wondering about how universal they are? i know the quanity wont be the same but will it still work on another truck? say for an example a 68 f100? i dont see why it wouldnt, its only a few peices of rubber afterall right?
thanks

all depends on how the body lines up with the frame mounts. In theory, if the gap between the body and frame are the same on ALL mount positions, then it shouldn't really matter. But if the gap changes (ei: where the frame bends upward towards the rear) then you may run into some issues.

Bottom line, make sure you measure them out....not only for height, but for diameter as well.

I'm pretty sure they will be different between a B2 and a 68 anything.

they vary wildly

i was wondering the same. i ordered new polyurethane bushings for my truck, and in the box i got yesterday they had a paper saying for 81-91 chevy k2 blazer. im hoping theyre close enough to work....

Thickness, diameter, strength, how they mount in may all be different. Some use a 1 part bushing, some use a 2 part bushing. Some sit on top of the ear, some pass through it.

As Bobby said, they vary widely.

ok, ill probably just try them anyways, if they dont work, ill try to sell the kit and get the proper one. thanks
