Kyle M's Ranger Rebuild

whoever thought waggy rear's are easy to come by dont live by me. I've been lookin high and low for the past month and cant find a single one. I'm also havin a heck of a time finding a chevy rear. we scrapped out 6, 1/2 tong chev's this summer and never thought twice about keepin a rear axle.

Hey Kyle, after going through all of my left over shit at my buddy's place I have discovered that I no longer have any 31 spline 8.8 stuff. I could get a hold of the kid that I sold the truck to and see what he is doing with the axle (he is going full width... stupid high schooler). Any ways, let me know if your interested.

You don't have to go out of your way, but thanks for lookin!

Update time....

Got my fair lead mounted, think it turned out good

Then I lowered the front of my truck another inch. I have 3.5" of shock shaft showing.

I'm gonna lower the rear too, just not sure how yet. I have a 2" block in there, undecided if I wanna pull the block and put the overload back in or just cut it down 1".
I like the height, getting low.

And I picked this up, needed a new 1/2" chuck drill real bad, and this combo came with a driver too....good price.

Yeah, i don't know, I think it came to me in my sleep or something..pretty ingenious IMO

LOL, thanks!!

How are you liking those airshocks over coils/coilovers??

Looks 10x better lowered man, im really digging the stance.

Thanks! I do as well.

Never had coil overs, but so far I am very satisfied with the air shocks. Only problem I have with them is I am really anal about how straight the truck sits and it is hard to balance the pressure evenly to make it sit right.

I would buy them again....probably will for the rear, one day.

think they would handle about another 200 lbs on top of what you have, say like the weight of a V8 and custom bumper?? What did they run you if you don't mind me asking :D
SVT

I think they would, if not you could always sell em or use them in a different project. I paid just under 450 shipped. I got them from TRS fab.

They do sell bigger ones, Fox 2.5, made to handle more weight, but they cost 2 times as much.

I hear you. I seen it on pirate and was going to post but the sites acting gay.

How do the air shocks handle on road? I figure they should handle nice.

WHOA the gears just started turnin, alot less expensive then i woulda thought they were.

I think i'm gonna concintrate on gettin a fullwidth geared locked and under my truck before i mess with the air shock's, with the preggo wife i need to be cautious on what i spend my money on she is extremely hard to rationalize with about truck part's.
