Have a good Guy Falks day everyone. Light the blue touch paper and retire immediately.

Guy Fawkes. and I was not aware that there was a day for this. how do you celebrate such a day?

if i recall he tried to blow up parament in protest...but failed?

sooo i dont know

I knew he tried to blow it all up but just now did a Google to find out more, said 36 barrels of gunpowder hidden in Parlement basement. Jumped from the hanging platform and broke his neck. Lots of interesting stuff in English history.
Dave of the Nord

your supposed to have a big bon fire and make a dummy then light him on fire!

Er, there's been a holiday for it in England for as long as I can remember. We used to "celebrate" it with a bon fire.

V for vendetta EPIC MOVIE!

Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
the Gunpowder Treason and Plot,

I see no reason why Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, t’was his intent to blow up King and Parliament.

Three score barrels were laid below to prove old England’s overthrow;
By God’s mercy he was catch’d with a dark lantern and lighted match.

Holloa boys, holloa boys, let the bells ring.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King!

Hip hip hoorah!

First, you learn to spell his name correctly and then you light a bonfire.

I see a few of you did some research. "Penny for the Guy mister" . Where does that come from?
