yeah so changn the clutch in a ranger sucks. i had to drop the exhaust, (the bolts wouldnt break took threee hours for one bolt), the skidplates, and the tranny crossmemeber. it took about 24 full hours to complete it, spread out over three days.
 
You'll get it faster the next time...lol

You need a REAL torch set to get those y-pipe to manifold bolts out, with another underneath w/ a REAL impact gun!

Some don't have to take this off, but I always have to.
 
haha well i learned my lesson and put all new studs in, its just a general pain in the ass. but i did save about a grand total. i had a 2000 dodge dakota and the clutch went out so i had it done by a shop and it cost me about 1500 total. that was the first and last time i ever let a shop do my work
 
heh, it took me about 8 hours, but i ended taking it all back apart and doing it again the next day (another 8 hours) long story... damn hydraulics
 
don't forget to put anti-seize on those exhaust flange bolts to make it easier on ya next time :icon_thumby:
