Anyone been to the Ford Museum in Dearborn? Thinking about an overnight trip up there.

Silver Lake Sand Dunes in western Michigan is a hell of a place to wheel. There is great camping near by along with some nice hotels. It is right on Lake Michigan. There are some nice light houses in the area as well.

Honestly, try Wellsboro, there are some roading trails and we have our own grand-canyon, literally!

If you are talking about The Henry Ford then definitely go. My teacher went a few years back and loved it, he spent well over an hour one day showing us pictures and talking about all the cool things they had there.

couldn't find any place cheaper. so many houses abandoned there due to the economy, just pull up in a vacant driveway and make yourself to home.

so sad, but so true. i hate the words "out sourcing". i'm sure your contribution to the local economy would be greatly appreciated. excellent idea.

Somewher about an hour south of toledo there used to be this great camping place where you could drift on rafts around this big creek..... Had a lot of fun at a campfire there several years back, just laid back and mellow. It was a nice time.

When I decide to do a mini vacay.... I usually get tickets to a concert in a large city a few hours away (lot of choices when your in the middle of BFE) and then I find a museum or art show... and just kind of laze the days away (trying to have one big event/activity, and special dinner out each day)

Spalunking is bomb, don't forget garden of the gods in southern Illinois.... or that big cave there.

They have cabins for rent all around Garden Of Gods..... talk about a fun laid back retreat!!!!!

He is in northeast Ohio. Not that far from Windsor, ON, or about 4 hours from Niagra Falls.
