noises coming from front axle area'ish

heck in this economy, just find the wheel and tire, go get some new lug nuts and some really good washers and call it good as new...haha. i've never heard of this happening but good to hear your ok. Hopefully you don't have to spend too much money.

i had the same thing happen on my first ranger in '89-the wheel didn't come right off,but it was pretty close.same sort of situation, odd noise that i couldn't identify, otherwise it drove fine.had all the lugs on still but four had pulled through the rim when i pulled it over.three days earlier i had a shop replace the front springs and shocks(before i just did everything myself) and i guess they didn't tourque the rims right.

firestone quoted almost $1100... i knew that was complete and utter bull, so i had it towed again to a shop that a friend's dad knows/uses sometimes. he races cars so he pretty much knows his stuff, they told me that t would be significantly lower than 1100, so i'm happy with that i guess. i just don't really have the time, location, or tools to get into a project like that.

i'll keep everybody updated

firestone said they were gonna repack bearings, do the seals, new rotor, new caliper, new pads, used wheel, new tire, bleed the brakes on that side. i think that's about everything, i'm like no way thats 1100, bull
