How much do you all think i could get for my ranger, the page is in my sig

go to www.kbb.com and enter private party (if you are going to place a forsale sign on it..and not trade it in) Enter the info on you truck. This will get you what your truck is worth stock. If you have done any extensive mods, your value will go up a bit, but probably not to the extent that you will get what you put in the mods back out.

Go to www.edmunds.com and do the same thing.
repeat for www.autosite.com.

average the three numbers, add what you think your mods to the truck are worth. Then ask that price, and sell it to the first person that comes within a few hundred of it.

Having not seen your truck in person, I would say just from the pics it is a damn nice looking 1st gen. If you are going to get another ranger, I would consider taking those mags off and putting them on the new truck, as they are not going to up the value of your ranger by much...

The paint itself is worth 70 grand, at least thats what it cost, but my dad got it for 2500, and he painted it himself, but the buyer doesn't have to know that, it runs perfectly, but it does have 350,000 miles on the 2.9, but it used to have a SBC in it, but i put the 2,9 back in it for gas

LOL, I thought the same thing.

Even if it were 7K, I still wouldn't believe it unless it were a tri-coat.

If it has a regular acrylic/clear, and it cost 7K to paint, that must have been totalled or something.

I couldn't see an enamel job even costing that much.

You must realize that someone is going to probably buy it for use as a truck. They don't give a shit about the paint or any bells and whistles.

This is true. They will probably use it to haul wood or something lol. Good luck selling it though.

Im not sure im gonna sell it, i was just getting opinions

7,000$ is what it would have cost

It's sickens tri-coat, but it has in all 11 coats of paint

2 primer
3 base coats
base with pearl
1 clear, then wet sand
4 coats of clear


if they are gonna use it as a truck, i will not sell it to them, unless the offer is right

When the only thing you're paying for is insurance (and gas, oil, etc...) why get rid of it?


Don't get me wrong though... I would love to buy that Ranger if I had money. I'm really partial to those Gen 1's!
