i want to know what you opinions on tires are. i'm looking to get a 93-7 ranger. i'm gonna level it out. Eventually I want to lift it but for now it will only have the leveling kit. Should i get 33x10.5's or 32.11.5s. I'm not really gonna be off roading just want to make it look bad ass

with leveling most people keep with 31s cause they want some wheel travel without it rubbin

well my brother has a 97 ranger with 31x10.5's bone stock (no lift or leveling kit) and he doesn't rub at all. I'm not going off roading so i don't really need to have a lot of wheel travel

33's are out of the question. I have 33's with a 6" lift, and they hardly clear the front fenders. 32's with 2" spacers may be doable.

They come within a half inch when turning on level ground.

EDIT: Unless you plan to drop some cash on new gears as well, I would stick with 31's.

I think if you got a truck without the plastic fender things then the 33's would work, but 32's would be a better bet....

The plastic flares are only like an 1/8" thick and they are tight to the fender. If you trrim the inside edge of the flare and bend the metal fender a little it would clear a little better, but I never did because I plan to buy another set of fenders and cut about 3" all the way around and run some Pacer flexy flares. (to clear my new 35's:icon_twisted:). I just cant bring my self to cut my only set of rust free dent free blue fenders. I am trying to find some fenders from a truck the same color blue as mine to play with. I found a truck the same color as mine in the JY, but the only two body panels that were messed up were both front fenders:annoyed:.

Hmmm... well I always heard the step side trucks without the flares had more fender clearence but maybe that was just me...

As for finding fenders for your truck, why not just get different colored fenders in good condition cut them to what you want and then you could either paint them to match or cut your nice fenders after knowing what you need exactly.

I am too cheap to buy quality paint that will actually match.

I run 32" tires with just a 1.5" torsion bar lift. No problems with that. I think I could get 33 x 10.5" tires to work with an additional 1" body lift.

98+ Trucks will clear 33's a whole lot easier than a TTB truck.

So i should probably stick with the 32x11.5 untill i can afford a lift for it?

yes. I have 31's with a leveling kit and rub on my sway bar at full lock so be prepared for that.
