Omg! We're All N00bs!

Who snapped that pic of my car? I thought I saw someone with a junked out Ranger on my butt today!

Will, what's that turd colored thing in your siggy?:D

$400.00 Generator, $150.00 Air conditioner attached to a $50.00 car. Can't say his priorities aren't in the right place.

If you notice his tail light is in the wrong place. This goes back to my earlier post. Blinker tension cable is way to tight causing lens misalignment. If you back it off just a little that light will slip right back into place.

Not only am I getting close to 40mph they have reduced road friction so much I no longer need to run oil in my truck. Three more stickers, two more bits of chrome and a bigger battery and I won't even need gas anymore. Not bad for 1500hp from a stock 302 ( did I mention the chrome ).

you must have glued the bb inside each and changed the air in your tires on a regular basis .

So my brakes started to squeak the other day. I think I know what the problem is, there are these two things that are touching this round disc like thing. I think that's where the noise is coming from. Does anyone know where I can get some grease for in there? Oh and what's this I hear about blinker fluid?

just turn the radio up louder

if i hook up a leaf blower my truck will run better right? same concept as the tornado but cheaper .

oh yeah, a leaf blower will work great, two would be even better, kinda like forced induction, that and some chrome and stickers and you'll be running mid-8's in the 1/4 mile

Yo, I gotz a kweshtin.

I picked up an electric cooling fan from an Escort from the junkyard (only cost me $95 bucks, suckers). If I put this on my Ranger (2.3L H.O.), how much horsepower will it add? I already got one of those resistor chips from e-bay, will this put me in the 12's?

It should, but how much chrome have you added

remember people, chrome and stickers are your biggest HP gains

Note: chrome paint is an acceptable substitute for regular chrome

Can you put chrome paint directly over rust? Or is it advisable to scrape as much off with a screwdriver before you put it on?

This all depends on the first 2 digits of your vin #. If it starts with 1F it will probably run low 10's. If it starts with 2F it probably won't start. The only way to fix the problem is to buy a new vin#. I can get you won for under 10G. Cool part is the vin# comes with some ocean front property up in your area. RB

I think I found your problem, It is a short between the seat and the steering wheel. Oh yea, I have a rod sticking out the side of my oil pan. Can I keep driving it till I win the lottery? I am planning on driving it to cuba next week and was just wondering if duck-tape would fix it.:pray::pray::pray::pray::tease::tease::woot:

Duct tape helps, but the best thing to do is fill your oil pan with about 12 quarts of Lucas transmission fix-it. It will seal that thing up nice. I used the stuff on my 2.9 when it started ticking and it worked great. The engine never ticked again. It also never ran again, but that might have been the effect of me bolting a 4-barrel carburetor onto the throttle body for more airflow. I'm still not sure what went wrong there. :icon_confused:

Also, don't take the interstate when you go to Cuba. It's under a lot of construction right now. Your best bet is to just take 2 lane roads. :icon_thumby:

Duct tape always helps :D BUT! if you want to fix the rod thing you better use some super glue...or...something. :icon_thumby: and a 4 barrel on a 2.9?? COME ON! you gotta think man! 2.9's need WAY more air flow than that - try to find a 6 pack next time. :D

Hmm, how to convert a 2.9 to a 4.0

"Buy a newer truck."

Umm, that's only 4 words. You must be padding your responses a bit.

Funny Dave :-)

If I ever convert my 92 it will be from 3.0 to 4.9. There are still a lot of 92 Mustangs ripe for the picking. Newer is more expensive and mine hauls wood and recyclables so newer isn't an option.

I hate this tread.

Honestly, I get a headache from all the groaning required to read it!

I think my automotive IQ may have just hit the floor.....
