Got some new dubs for the F-150

...The BFG's are a different tread pattern than shown, or that I am used to seeing for that matter. Dunno if they are like a KM1.5 or what... but I like the looks better than the normal KM....

I have these tires on my Ranger. My understanding is that they are a special tread design just for the Wranger Rubicon, tire companies do this all the time for the OEMs. The Raptor is another vehicle with a special tread design slightly different than the regular BFG AT. The tires for the Rubicon probably were tuned for lower highway noise or better wet/ice traction since they were going on a factory equipped vehicle. I know mine have more ice traction than I was expecting and they don't sound too loud on the highway.

They are pretty quiet on the highway (so far) and the one skiff of snow I had them in impressed me vs my Dunlops. In fairness though, I bought the Dunlops used.

I had them in the barnlot when it was kind of soft, they impressed me there too. Kinda sad I will probably not be able to find another set when I wear these out, I really like about everything about them so far.

I, too am enjoying my tires (had them for almost two years now, IIRC). Which Dunlops did you have? I used to have a set of 31" Rover RVs and they were ok, I would consider purchasing another set of Dunlops because I think they are a good value. In fact, I was looking for another set of Dunlops when I found the BFG MTs for a good price.

Dunlop Mud Rover, I have them on my Ranger.

I like them, they are a lot louder than my BFG's so far... and they are not that great on packed snow and ice. I know nothing is, but the old car tires that came with the truck got around better on snow packed streets. As a anti-rust tactic I don't drive the tuck when the snow flies now so it isn't a big deal anyway. Great tire IMO for a toy that you drive once in awhile or on short trips, I think they would drive you nuts on a cross country drive.

They dig like a son of a gun in mud or fresh snow, my Ranger is a tank getting around the farm with them. It is kind of nice to have a rig that goes where you point it and rarely asks questions, which is why I still have them.

You can see them on my Ranger in the picture with all of the tires in the back.

:icon_twisted: I can't believe I missed that. Maybe I should start paying attention.
