My credo
The fun begins where the pavement ends
So as many of you know I have a set of i-Pikes on Cherokee rims for my winter tires. These are studdable tires which I have studded.

After a long 8 months of winter, seeing ice, slush and snow I can honestly say these things are like tank treads, straight up unstoppable. They were definetly a worth-while purchase.

They look a lot like the Nokian Nordman 2s I've got on my '09...which I bought, in part, because they looked like the Nokian Hakkapelliita 2- which I consider to be about the best car snow tire ever made.

I have them too, and do have to say the ice performance does drop a little bit in the second winter . Still a really good tire though.

Another one that we sell a ton of that people seem to just love is the Firestone Winterforce.

i ran a full set of ipikes this past winter and they are the best tire ove ever had in the snow. drove through 8" deep snow with 2wd and never got stuck once (i was on an unplowed dirt road, so its not like i was wheelin in the snow), these tires were definately worth the money!

I took them just last weekend up an ice hill climb in 2WD, absolutely aced it. The problem was I wasn't supposed to be in 2WD so when I hit the powdery stuff at the top I just dug. The tires tried their damndest to get me out but it was a hair too deep. Overall I still strongly recommend them to anyone.

I had a set of these on my BMW - were ok in the snow but SUCKED on dry roads compared to some of the other winters I have run.

Well here is a question i have for the hole group. im looking to beef up the tire size on my ranger. im looking to go to 31X10.5X15 on a factory 2004 ranger edge i was waundering what the max tire size i can go without have problems.

Not at all related to these winter tires but I have 31's on my 98 on 15x8 rims and they fit fine with no rubbing.
