roughcountry lift good are bad???

Yes, completely new bracket (Skyjacker).

Rough Country, BDS, and Trailmaster continue to use a drop plate bracket. Pretty much everyone else fully replaces that bracket now because of the reason above (Superlift I think was the latest one to do so back around '03 or '04).

So the Tuff Country kit replaced that bracket too?

Tuff Country gives you a full replacement bracket, yes.

Just out of curiosity....it looks like the Skyjacker driverside drop bracket is "cast" from what I can tell.

My Tuff Country bracket is definitely made out of flat plate that has been bent and welded into the shape that it is.

Is one type preferred or better than the other in terms so strength?

Cast tends to be strongest, although it's possible for welded ones to be good and sturdy also (James Duff is a good example).
