Hey, I drive a 2002 2wd ranger completely stock at the moment. i was just wondering is there a way to help with body roll with out lowering the whole truck. just curious if this can be done?

LOL, my drag racing buddies always tell me, if you can still turn, you're not going fast enough.

To answer the OP, increase the sway bar diameter (maybe one that can add some preload), add some strut bracing or any type of roll bar/cage that attaches to the frame will reduce body roll. At least thats how we do it on road race cars.

My '00 Ranger had a factory front swaybar and I built some custom leaf packs for the rear because I constantly used the truck like an F-250 so I needed the carrying capacity. But that stiffening of the rear suspension made it handle nice too.

Of course, if you didn't need the extra payload, a rear swaybar might help matters if yours doesn't already have one. Additionally you can get better shocks to help cut down on body roll.

And lastly (probably the most important part) it's a Ford Ranger.... and as AllanD said: "It's a Ford, not a Ferrarri."

its not a Ferrari, but u can improve handling for cutting down corners

your Ranger has front coil springs? the front bar from a 4x4 won't fit, needs to be about 2" wider to clear where the frame has bulges for the coils. let me know if you find a bigger front 2wd coil bar, I'd like one too. you can add a rear bar easily, either factory or aftermarket are readily available. HOWEVER,,, adding/increasing a rear bar on a Ranger can dramatically increase rear wheel spin while turning. not fun if you're in a hurry to pull out into traffic in the rain.
