Idol issue

I have the 2.8L 1984 2BBL. It starts right up but the idol is kinda low (500rpm) for being cold. After it worms up (5minutes) it idols up around 1K,rpm than it just dies. I adjusted the timing and adjusted the carb to recommend settings. Any ideas?

does it have all the computer stuff hooked up. duraspark it dump the computer it will never work right until you do. you can try getting the codes I have a code reader you can have where in WA maplevalley here

Your welcome to have any of the emission stuff I have wires sensors computer code reader egr is fairly new carb has been stripped but solenoid and tps is new also let me know I work in auburn or that is where the shop is next to the cop shop
