Coolant Leak, from Reservoir

I was installing some lights on my truck and noticed a puddle of coolant under the front tire that had never been there before . I found that the leak was coming from under the reservoir. I cannot stop the leak, even with a new rubber line. I think it might be a crack in the tank, but is there any way to fix it without buying a new one?

Ya THINK it MIGHT be a crack.. Go take the tank OUT and examine it and when you do find the leak then ask what can be done.. The guys here might spend their time answering what you THINK and then later you find you were thinking wrong and present them with another completely different leak..
Somewhere there is glue that will repair almost anything.

Okay, let me rephrase that, it is a crack. I did not mean to say 'think' it is not to hard to tell that it is a crack. I guess what I really wanted to ask was what can I repair it with. Was there a 'best brand' that worked miracles or something like that.

The tank itself is some kind of PVC or whatever. Perhaps none of the glues I have in my shop will seal it. I think I would get some sillycone and apply it to a spot not near the crack.. Just to see if it would adhere to the tank. If it does then I'd get a piece of a plastic cup or jar of whatever I could find that would be of the shape I needed. Then I'd glue that piece OVER the crack.
I have several types of construction cement in the shop, I would try them all.

Well then what I'll do is test several, on an inconspicuous spot, then which ever sticks the best I'll use to fix. Thanks!

Mine did that and I took it out and got some two part epoxy and put that on the hole and let it dry over night. No more problems!
