Whats the beef with step sides

There's an orange Pro-Street '89 Ranger running around here, 2wd, it's got a 460 under the hood.... claims under 10 second quarters...

exhaust out the back, and the stacks.....do they both work? or just one???? lol

I think the stacks work. Looks like they are plumbed in.

First (since you missed it despite the smiley), I was poking fun. Laugh and don't take it so serious.

haha, I understood that you were joking, I was just making a point, and trying to explain why I like 4x4. Ultimately it doesn't matter to me one bit what anyone else drives, as long as their not stuck blocking me when I'm trying to get to work in a snowstorm.

The only reason people buy a 2wd is because they cant afford a 4wd, anyone who thinks/says a 2wd is just as or more able then a 4wd is just plain retarded, jesus christ why would you even say that, doesnt even make sense, you must live in the city and walmart wheel. Id go for a 4x4 on bald ass tires anyday over a 2wd with mud terrains, jesus im still laughing, let alone anyone who lifts a 2wd hahah WTF?

I bought mine because it was cheap, not because I can't afford a 4wd. And as far as being capable, no, it's not as capable as a 4wd but I don't need it to be. We got 6 inches of snow today and I drove around in it just fine without weight or chains. BTW I live in the country, about 20 miles away from the nearest city. The town I live close too is so big (700 people) that we just got a Dollar General. Besides saving that money on buying a 4wd is money I can spend on something else.

And as far as a stepside bed goes I would rather have one. I like the looks of it better than the fleetside.

I've got a 2WD I drove all winter. It wasn't a matter of not being able to afford a 4WD so much as it was I already had one, and just wanted a second truck to DD. Although, I cannot STAND the stepside boxes. I don't know why.

What is a dollar general?

STFU:temper::pissedoff::flipoff:

I bought mine (fleetside) because it was cheap too. $600 with 160k on the clock. I really like the look of the step sides, but after buying stuff for the house, moving into the house, helping others move, ect., I'm glad mines not a step side. As for the 2wd vs 4wd, snow tires help out A LOT with winter driving, so does my LSD but I would rather have 4wd. Like someone else mentioned, I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. That and I would like to get into trail riding as well. I don't feel comfortable doing some trail exploring in a 2wd not knowing much about wheeling and I would be more confident with 4wd.

Don't forget Big Lots and Deals!

the DG's the shit!!!!

Frank

I buy their straight 30wt non detergent oil to run in the tank at every fill up with the Chevy to keep the injector pump lubed ....... actually gained 2 mpg after the 3rd or 4th tank.......

I buy my toiletries there because they are down the road and I would have to drive to wal-mart......

I would just like to point out that if you have an unlocked 4wd truck it's the same thing as a locked 2wd, when it comes down to it your really only powering 2 wheels. I'm also willing to bet a locked 2wd with knobby tires could do pretty much anything you wanted outside of crawling. Sometimes you just don't need the extra weight up front. For instance I eventually want to build my truck up so I can go play in the dunes in Michigan. Not that I'm hating on people who like to crawl and slowly move through technical trails. It's just not for me, I want to jump and go fast, and if I had 4wd it would just be another thing to break/slow me down.

I apologize in advance for misspelling any words or words that don't make sense, I types this out on my iPhone.
