Okay So i want more power in my 3.0 yet i dont know...
Any ideas? Please lidt them!

What are some ideas???
:headbang:

Regear
Forced Induction
Internal engine mods
Engine swaps

....

There's not much you can do to a 3.0. You can go with forced induction but that gets pricey. You could stroke it, but most kits have seen take you to 3.3. Meh. You can go with the underdrive pullies, 1.7 rockers and all that stuff in the tech library, but in the end it's still a 3.0. 182 CI of Love.

I demanded more then the 3.0 could give so I'm stroking a 351w to a 402w with some other performance pieces.

I'll be about 1500 into the engine build grand total. Cheaper then any of the F.I. and Stroker kits for the 3.0.

If you don't want to do that I'd look into gearing the hell out of your diffs.

Cold air is a joke. Bolt on shit is a joke. Your truck can exhale fine from the factory (but I do not agree with the series of 90 degree bends to clear the rear axle. Hack that shit and dump it out the side.)

Go big the first time.

With my '00 3.0 I got some very worthwhile power gains, by swapping in a 180* thermostat, doing the MAF mod and hot water bypass mod, opening up the airbox, and swapping in an electric fan. It's still only a 3.0 and the truck doesn't run like it has a V-8 in it, but I'm very satisfied with the extra power I've gained, especially in the low end.

MAF mod and hot water bypass..

where did you find a how to on these things? i looked in the tech library, i'm not sure the open air filter/MAF mod on there is the one you're talking about

U/D crank pulley and E-Fan are a great place to start.

Bore it out to .030 over, port and polish the heads, 1.7 rockers & pushrods, rhoads lifters, u/d pullies, e-fan, jba headers, chip, accell coil, nology wires, oe plugs, gibson cat back, volant snorkel-ram air.

Its what im doing to mine. fingers crossed, mid 200 hp and tq.
all ca legal.

You'll pull an honest 155-160rwhp with all that done. It is true that any REAL performance and acceleration gains come with forced induction or swaps.
