Lets see your bumpers

looks sweet and clean i like it does it fit under the tailgate or on the outside , if that makes sense

i know hes a noob but i think i found the person im going to nomanite for the ranger of the month thiss thing is cleeeean :icon_hornsup: grat job man did u fab the bumper yourself
Thanks man, no I didn't fab it myself, I'm not talented enough to do that kind of stuff. A buddy of mine put it all together. I bought a WARN Universal Winch Tray and he did the rest, welded reinforce bars under the winch tray, then the round bar for lights, then he welded it all directly to the frame. (more detail in the "my build thread" in my sig)

I took it and the factory bumper and had them all powder coated gloss black.

Wait. You have a CNC plasma cutter at school but not a pipe bender?
And you dont have a mig welder either?:icon_confused:

yes actually we have that harbor freight bender, and 2 mig welders, i just prefer stick because of the deeper pen, and its what i compete in at State for SkillsUSA

I can't wait to see what this looks like painted and mounted.
I will be sure to post pics when its all painted and mounted. HOpefully a winch will be sitting behind it soon :icon_thumby:

i would walk all ova u in skills usa :thefinger:

Im doing my skills usa local welding comp tomorrow
here's my rear bumper made about a month ago finally got pics

It now has diamond plate between the bumper and tailgate

i know its not a ranger but im going with a bumper similer to this on my ranger but without the plat and a skid that goes down...kind of like what copycat has but with a stinger..

this is the one i built for my cherokee...

i now have a tubeing bender so im going to get a little more work into the ranger bumper

Painted an mounted. Its nothing too aggressive but it is designed to be used. Its tow points go directly to the frame and the center section is designed to hold a winch

looks pretty good...though you need to cut the front fenders down by the bumper, flush with the front panel

That would make the bumper look even lower, the bender I used couldn't make a small enough radius to completely hide the bottom of the fenders

yea it helps alot, i did it on my old 86 and it looked a ton better. just get an angle grinder and a cut off wheel and trim metal off until you like it

Here's the front I built, still needs some finishing, as I would like to run a bar under each head light as well as a bar just above the winch rollers for a couple off road lights, and mount the licence plate some where else. Also mounted a receiver just below the winch for the front extraction point.

This is as far as I have made it on building the rear bumper so far, it's welded between the rails and is where I hook up to stuck Jeeps. ;) I want to run some tube around the corners of the body as well as build a swing away/drop down tire carrier.

i thaught it was gonna be a back bumper :icon_twisted: woulda looked bettrer that way imo

It would have looked wired on the back with the middle of it sticking out. But I am making a back bumper to match the front, styling wise anyways
