Jan 17th Turkey Bay

Yeah I'll be ther saturday, I'm in henderson now, got here last night...I brought my tools to change your R&P if you still want to, got some keep-us-warm goodies for the pit, I'm gonna get John to pick me up saturday morning when he heads your way and I'll ride in with him...
Chad I may take you up on that, depending on what I find, if it fits a C4 it should also fit AOD....I really need overdrive with the grear ratio and tires I'm running...PAP has like 6 or 7 explorers that just came in in the last month, so I'm gonna hit them up and hope I get lucky, if not I'll be grabbing a car trans and adapting to 4WD....

alright...i got a little wood last night mainly just fire starter stuff to get it going good...

let the snow begin!

well, I had close to a rick of wood in SVT, but when I had to turn around and go home, I was affraid the jeep's suspension would not handle the wieght, so I only brought about half of that, but its more than enough for a full days warming...

Yeah, I just found a hell of a deal on a complete donor truck I'm trying to get, stretching my budget to get it, but once I get it I can recoup some of my money, I need to get some $$ to cover fuel to go get the donor...

Good deal, hope you get it.

Well guys, I got so excited when I found the donor truck, that I forgot all about the electrical system, its a 2000, which means PATS and a returnless fuel system, which mean I'll be taking the dash out of my truck to get to the wiring harness for the PATS. I also will have to pull the fuel lines all the way to the tank, as well as drop the tank and swap out the sending unit...All a lot of work and more than what I want to do at this time, so I will be passing this hell of a deal of a donor truck up:bawling: and hitting the JY up for a trans and going with my original plans...Going to the JY this friday, hopefully will have it running by next friday!

A couple of things to know about the B2 (Allen, I'm sure you know)...the rear hatch is all fiberglass, and the factory spare tire carrier will split the rear hatch at the spare tire latch, and its a pain to keep it sealed after it splits...The rear factory driveshaft will fail with any decent flex, an upgrade to a u-joint style driveshaft is highly recomended. I speak from experience...I know, you ask yourself that I actually had a B2:icon_surprised: Yeah, I did and I liked my little B2, here are some pics I dug up from my younger days, early 2000 IIRC...

Look Ma, Twins!!! I wish I had a bigger pic of this one, me and my cousin had identical year, identical paint jobs, his was a standard, mine and auto, only difference, Mine is on left with the custom lightbar mount I made, you can't read it, but the license plate on the front says "Friends don't let friends drive chevrolet" 3" BL, 2" suspension on 33x9.50x15 BFG MTs

Yep, the rear fiberglass hatch can be a pain when the tire carrier is involved, never had a problem with my rear d/s.....I ain't really sure which one I have anyway....:dntknw:

Why did you go from a B2 to a Ranger??!!??

:icon_cheers:
B2

ahh....was just jumpin' in there for Allen....we need to get him upgraded soon:icon_thumby:

l8r, John

Thank ya' Mr. John!! :icon_thumby: I can't get it out of my head now, I want to upgrade so bad I can't stand it!

I got the tires I got from you mounted on my 15x10s Thursday morning, used the front wheels to pull myself to my dads shop & had the other 7.5 mounted under it by early evening. Drove it home to wait for the snow & Friday morning it hit!! :yahoo:

I managed to achieve my goal of being able to play in the snow for the past 3 days!! :icon_bounceblue:

Those tires do unbelievable in the snow & ice mix we got here, I can't get used to the tread pattern because I am used to having deep mud lugs....it looks a little different but they are really good tires for street & snow! :headbang:

Thanks again man!! I am STILL working on getting the pics up from the run, they should be up tomorrow night...

:icon_cheers:

Glad to hear you finally got your truck fixed, now its time for mine to get into surgery so it can recover and get back on the road....I don't think I will put the twins on it just yet, gonna get it rollin for now...
