Ooooohhhhh, okay.

So ..... did you kick him in the balls or is he gettin' you a new unit? :) (or both?)

Ok, whatever, so long as you're alright then it's fine by me. :icon_thumby:

im fine, kinda im not hurt from that little incident, its just thing that are going wrong with the truck are piling up on me and making me want to sell it

No no, that's fine, perfectly normal feeling.

SMACK! WTF is wrong with you, man?!??!?!

lol

All joking aside ..... it's a decent plan, but is it really THAT good a solution? Let's really think logically about this for a moment, yes?

You have a truck that needs repairs, correct? Yes.
You wish to buyer another truck ..... that also needs repairs, CORRECT?

I've been where you're at. You really like the vehicle, BUT ..... (you fill in the blank here) ..... and because of this you feel it's a good idea to get something else.

Sure. Fine. Whatever. Get 'er done. If it's REALLY that important you wouldn't be sitting here asking questions because you'd KNOW it is something that really needs to be done.

Well, yes and no.

First - I didn't like the BFG ATs and I didn't like the tires. lol Too much rolling resistance. I have new winter tires now, Hankook W409s and they're awesome! Same 235/75R15 size as the BFGs, but not such a slow rolling tire. The truck feels great now. Can't wait to find a nice summer tire in the same size. I don't even want to re-gear because I know i've also picked up fuel mileage.

Sorry ..... so for the "yes" part I didn't like the tires (obviously).

For the no part - I was having more of a "should I lift or lower" problem. I still like the truck and could NOT imagine the past year of my life without it. (if you care - the gf and I bought a house together and moved in last April, so the truck did lots of work to help with that, and lots of clean up afterwards. It's been more than worth it's weight in gold. I told her I think we should always have a truck in the driveway and she agrees. Pretty handy, huh?!??!?!? ;) )

So, what's the REAL problem? Why are you so discouraged? What's really bugging you about your truck? :) P.M. me if you feel to chicken $h!+ to post it. :D :)

(truth - i'd still love to get rid of mine in a way, despite loving the body style so much. But at 6'4" the extended cab would be more comfy)

u can improve to a bigger/newer/powerfuller ranger, but not replacing it

Scott, I got rid of my 99 4x4 (with the cracked frame) for a 98 4x4 (with blown head gaskets) and i've done nothing but put money into the damn thing. Some days I look at it and wonder why the hell I ever bought another Ranger. Then I come on here and look through all the build threads or project threads and see potential. Sure i've put two new heads on it, a rebuilt front suspension, and a whole bunch of other shit, but that's the "fun" in it. Last thing I have to do is swap the tranny and she's good to go. I'll always have a ranger in the driveway, no matter what else I have.

You've done some good work to your truck, you might as well fix what you need to and keep it.

i really like your exhaust tip, how did you do that welded what size tip? where from? more pics of it?

here are pics from this morning, im too lazy to make a new thread
