Cutting the CAT off isnt going to make it sound any better. Do you have emissions in your area and do you need it to pass saftey? It could make it run worse your freeing up back pressure but not freeing up the intake.

on the contrary my friend. cutting the cat makes a massive difference. and theres noone here to tell me i cant and no we dont have emissions. and i seriously doubt there will be a negative effects freeing up flow in the exhaust

ok new news. got the explorerd donor home yesterday.
it is a cfc truck also. has 119,000 km's. some people. its in better shape than ours and its un-plateable.

old muffler was a pain to get out but a good air hammer made mince meatof it

ok so i didn't get the right adapters so its got one in there the wrong way but itll be ok for now.
also i didn't get any sound or tone or power improvements whatsoever.

WE WATCHED IN HORROR AS THE GUYS WHO WORKED AT THE YARD PROCEEDED TO SIT INBETWEEN 2 VEHICLES INSTALLING A TIRE WHILE THE EXPLORER TEETERED ON A FRICKEN HIGH LIFT ANDIT WAS LEANED TO THAT SIDE HARDCORE OMG THOUGHT HE WAS GONNA DIE

it was too redneck. and afterwards it was un-necessary.
also also, i told you the explorer has major blow by issues so we got another donor.

So your going to rip the engine out of the donor and sell off te one that can be licenced for the road. Hopefully you make a profit plus you can part it out.
