PlumCrazy's Build

I'm curious as to where you found the gauge pod. Is it a ranger piece or made for something else that you made to work?

Ebay, its made by GlowShift. It is the only thing I could fine. The universal ones dont even come close to fitting the Ranger pillar. I coundnt fine a 3 pod either only 1 or 2 pods. Also couldnt find a full replacment pillar, so I just went with the pod and painted it to match.

wow man ur truck nice im loving ur bumpers and light bar...my truck had a 4 inch sl and a 3inch bd. i have 33s. could tuck bigger. do u intend on body lifitn at all?? how strong is that hitch since u made it one in the bumper

I am anti-body lift, not to mention if I did decide to out one on, then I would have to redesign my bumpers and tcase shifter. I plan on going up 2 more inches with some 6" coils and spacers and 4" chevy leaves to eliminate the block and go up a couple inches in the rear.

I am pretty sure my hitch setup is just a strong if not stronger than a class III reese hitch. The bumper is bolted to the frame with 6 grade 8 5/8 bolts. The bumper is made of 6" channel doubled up (which I am pretty sure is stronger than the 2.5" box tubing reese uses). Originally I was going to put braces that would stretch from the receiver to just over the axle on the frame.

i have to do 6 inch coils cause someone did explore swap on my truck im guessing and it ass high. i dont want to delift i like how stiff the ass end is but yet to stiff rides decent.
im in the trying to map out a bumper with the welding teachers at the votech i go to. i like the idea of hitch in the bumper. and i back in to a lot of shit. at lot of the things ive been wondering about if theyd look good u did on this truck

how is that 2.5/4.0 doin , how do you like it , i was thinking of making 1 for my truck.

I love it. I have decently low gears for take off and low range and I still have a nice highway gear for my 2 hour commute. I still want to get 4.56's or atleast 4.10's so I can bump up to 35's when I get the front end up another 2"s

I will probably go with 4.10's since I can grab a whole front D35 off an Exploder at the JY with 4.10's already setup in it. (atleast cash for clunkers was good for something)

yea , that is why i was wonderin , i will never go bigger than a 31 or 32 with my truck , so i like the idea of the low gear for take off , especially when i have the trailer or tow dolly hooked to it , and for thise long highway trips i need the good gas mileage

I am thinking of getting a Reg cab short bed and running a d30 with some 31's on it for a DD. with the hybrid M50D and 3.73's

does it ever end with you haha :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl:

you are about as bad as me , this red 97 of mine started off as a strict DD , but now it has been growing more and more into a kind of bigger version of you rescue ranger , i am pooling stuff from your truck , Destroyer000's and Nathan's into mine to make kinda the ultimate DD/Weekend Wheeler/Recovery truck.

then have my blue 2000 as a beat the snot outta mud truck

I want to get this truck on 35's and a Rubicon D44 before I look into a second rig. I still have a lot I want to do to this truck before I can start another one. I want to get some 4" chevy leaves to bring the back up and get rid off the stock blocks, and I want to get a Saginaw pump on it ad well as mild cam and maybe do some head work.

i kinda fell into having 2 rigs , my 2000 was my DD until the rebuilt axle i bought came apart on me , then i got the 97 and the 1000 became the Trail rig project and the 97 became my DD , which then began turning into a Weekend Wheeler project

i want your lift and arms and skid plate and w.e else from the front of your truck. i call dibs when you plan on selling them.

i have a 94 reg cab shortbed. 4.0 5spd. 3.73s ... just need a little frame straighting on the ass end. not to bad. needs grillie and one corner light and body mounts. ill sell for 400 . ill go 300 if ya take my 3.0 gears and stick em in my 4.0 shell lol
