No Lights using the key fob

Hi There;
I was wondering where the fuse is that controls the flash lights when using the key fob to unlock my 05 ranger.It worked in the past but they do not flash when unlocking.

did you have the battery out recently? I think on that year the flashing lights and the horn are programmable options that can be turned on and off.

it might have lost the programming for some reason.

Hi There;
Yes I disconnected the battery to shut the horn off that would not stop blowing, because of a faulty key fob.( dropped in water) switched to the spare & door unlocks but lost the flashing lights.Can I reprogram with a scan tool or must this be done by the dealer? BTW: Are you ready for some serious snow? A little after midnight and nothing here in Lebanon Pa. so far

there is a key on/off procedure that you should be able to do on your own, I'll try to look it up and let you know how to do it. I know I did it on my mom's 06 escape to turn her horn off. I just have to find the procedure.

And yes, I am ready for the snow. 12:30 here in Dillsburg and only a few flurries so far. Hoping it holds off just long enough for me to double check my starter bolts a get a new neg battery cable on, then she can just let loose.

Well we received 8" of snow here. What did you guys get?I just wanted to let you know that I do not have a horn problem. The disconnecting of the battery cured the horn, but created the no flashing lights.I would like to have my flashing lights work when using the key fob.Door locks & unlocks ok.

I don't know, I can't seem to find what I was looking for. Its possible that the programmable feature wasn't on the ranger. Worse yet, I can't find a symptom for the lights not working with the fob at all. I'll keep looking as I have time and let you know what I find.
