one piece drive shaft?

hey i have a 1994,2wd,mt ranger and i wanna know if i can still do the one piece d-shaft.Would it be from a 98+ 2wd extended cab ranger?

Yes you can swap on a 2WD.

I seem to recall a couple reports that the larger dia. shaft will be a close fit under part of the floorboard of the cab (might need to massage it slightly with a hammer), but other than that it should go right in.

On a 2WD it's important you get the shaft from a truck with the same transmission as yours (stick or auto).

i was wondering if i could also do the swap but if i dsid would it help me out i have a 93 supercab ranger and its lowered 4 inches from stock in the rear with djm flip kit and soon to be in the front with 3 inch dream beams i have the carrier bear shim kit from djm but i still have vibration and the carrier bearing still isnt right therefore im just sick of messing with it and think it be easier in the long run to swap to a 1pc shaft

It'll physically fit the transmission & axle, but like I already mentioned, you'll have to check your clearances under the cab (being lowered might make the need for creating some additional room for it even greater).

i have found a one peice from a guy here in town its an aluminum one but he said it came out of an automatic ranger the year was an 03 will it still work or would i be pissing in the wind my truck is manual trans

On a 2WD it's important you get the shaft from a truck with the same transmission as yours (stick or auto).

Both the length and spline is different between transmissions.
