lmao. i do that twice a week. only my 4000 is stock. ill post pics later today when i get home. question, why you cutting your wood into rounds?? wouldnt it be easier (atleast this is what i do) to leave them in 4 - 6' sections and then cut them into rounds when you get home?? plus, this way you get more wood into your truck...

nice looking truck btw. you even painted the lower part like i want to on mine. actually, you have yours set up pretty much the way i intended to do mine, minus the hood scoops (not my cup of tea, unless they are functional).

you can hual a full cord i do it all the time with a trailer and my ranger but the ranger doesnt like pulling 5k but it does it pretty good

I'll play...here's my old 86 full of firewood. This is what maximum payload without a foot of metal cut out of the wheelwells looks like...riding bumpstops, good thing its only across my yard lol

i cut my wood into rounds because i had to use my budies tools and didnt have time, for me to finish cutting everything at his house that day, i know its the better way, but sometimes you gotta make do with what you have.

yeah, you cant see, but in the second pick the leaf is actually negative arched, gas tank side. then i had to commute an hour and a half home.

id put a headache rack and sideboards on, and double the load! looks like the suspention would handle it.

yeah, i believe you. maybe when i get gears ill be able to pull that much. my truck still has 3.73 gears and im running some worn 33s plus the load.

thats in the plans, this is my first year living on my own, and my parents have always lived in newer neighborhoods, so its also my first year woodcutting, i actually really like it though its work, but its fun.

ouch! 33's with 3.73's, yes i beleive a re-gear is in order! you'll fry the clutch with a load like that and big tires. i pull a heavy trailer alot and i wish it were possible to spilt-shift between low 7 high range. i'll use 4 low to pull out of a lot or yard, then once i get onto the road i stop and go to high range. ive got 3.73's but with the stock 235-15's and getting started off-road in high range is just too much for it. dont forget your braking ability is down between having a large load and big tires. be safe!

yeah im running 3.73s and 31s with l/s in the rear it does pretty good but wish i had 4.10s

same here...running 31s on 3.73....of course I think I might bump up to 4.30s just in case I get a wild hair to increase the tire size again...

id do it right the first time, 4.56 with a detriot locker rear and a arb up front. lot of cash required though. guess thats why i still have stock gears and open diffs. if your going to put a 302 in down the road, 4.10's would be enough.

yeah, want to run 4.88s or 5.13 to go with the 35 bfg muds in my garage, i cant wait to get those wheel wells filled. i cut them early because my 33s were rubbing before, i ditched the wheel spacers and got nice rims.
