HID light kit - what do I need to buy?

So I've been looking at HID kits online and am overwhelmed by the wide range of prices and fitments. Some on ebay are $10 and some are $350.

I want 6000k, but I don't know if I need to buy High or Low beams.

Has anyone installed these? What did you buy and how do you like them? And what do I need to get (high or low) -- or is there a kit that has both in it?

Do you order high or low beams? Or is there only one style?

go on ebay i was just on there and the cheapest kit i found was like 45 shipped and you need a 9007 bulb its a plug and play and i have a set of 6000Ks in my other car, my buddies have 8000ks and i have a set of 10000k and i love them...what ever you get youll love them

I read last night they only last 2-4 years... having second thoughts on them now.

Replacement HID bulbs are only $15 each, Halogen/Xenon Silverstars run like $20-25

Besides, I've been told they last at least 10yrs.
And in the last 5 yrs working in a shop I've only ever had to replace one factory HID bulb, it was on a 02 Acura, and it was a DR-2 bulb.

What do I need -- the high or low beams? Sorry for so many questions this isn't obvious to me like it is to you guys!
