Did Ranger doors ever have Vent Windows?

Hi All

Did any Early Rangers have Vent windows in the doors?

I would like to have ven windowsw on my 88 Ranger.

I now know Bronco II doors will fit and they had vent windows.

But to increase my chances of finding cheap ones I am wondering of any Ranger doors had the vent windows.

i believe it was an option from 83-92 but im not 100% on the 2nd gens.

Pivoting vent windows were a first-generation thing (1983-88).

What models got them depends on the year. In the early years they were part of the XLT and XLS trim packages, and listed as "optional" on other models; and then finally they were only included with just the XLS trim package. At least, that's how the sales brochures explain it.

They're not that uncommon in the junkyards, but the weatherstripping is usually toast.

how come some people say 83-??? are 1st gens and some say they are 2nd gens?

Hi,
They were available in the 1983 XLS for certain as I still drive one. Mine has the 2.2ltr Diesel in it with only 145,000 km on it. Runs perfect, great mileage, starts every time even in the winter.

They were also available on B2s...and they fit the Ranger perfectly...
