cleaning mud up

so anybody got any good ideas for getting all the mud out from the undercarrage of my truck without taking the bed off? im trying to actually clean it up for once so i can spray it with rust stop.

a pair of goggles, pressure washer and some jack stands. thats the the best way i have found.

Set a water sprinkler up under it over night and that will loosen and soften up all the mud. I highly doubt you need anymore than a car wash with a stock truck but this is how the guys that bog clean there trucks.

If it really jammed up in there you could get the under carriage steam cleaned at a dealer or car wash. Not necessarily cheap but it works.

If its dry jack it up and drop it from a height a couple times to knock the majority of it off then pressure wash the rest.

go to an auto car wash and pay for the chassis clean, maybe go through twice. or just wait till it rains and drive around for a few weeks it will eventually come off.

lol riding through a creek aint gonna work.. i buried it half way up the doors and my trucks sitting on 34's, in what we call the pond (bottomless mud) off woodtrail rd in gaston SC. it took 2 dodge 1500s on 35's or better and chains, i know aint the safest but the strapps kept breaking, to get close enough to pull me out. i gave it some gas ok i floored it trying the new locker out and it went farther than i though it would. so i might try washing it with a sprinkler then the carwash a bunch. there so much i gotta get most of it out before i can wash it in the carwash

my buddy got his old cummins stuck out on woodtrail road. I haven't been there, but he said it was a DEEP mudhole, so prob the same one

only truck ive seem make it all the way across woodtrail rd. was last summer when the water was down it was a 78 fullsize bronco with a 460 bored out to 502 and 38 boggers running a charger and spraying the piss out of the motor like a 350 shot tore his suspension up though... its got miles of trails running around it an the pond in the middle. im not sure how deep it is but a buddys yota on 35s got the front tires in and the suction wouldnt let him back out took two trucks to get him out too

You guys are all chasing me from forum to forum huh?

I agree with Kyle. The sprinkler works the best and requires the least effort. Another option is find the nearest stream/river that is up to your floor boards and park in it for 30 minutes. It worked great for me when I got the Explorer stuck. Isent that right Kyle?

We used to run the humvees through alot of clay at Bragg and we just used a high pressure car wash and raingear It was nasty wet but it did the job, It just takes a little patience. Like someone mentioned a steamer is the best if you find one.
