Finally Done With My Jump Seat Subs! hope you like!

what about the amps heat? being in such close contact with carpet will that be okay?

i thought about that once i started considering doing that for my amp.

also, did you make the cutout for your amp slightly smaller than the amp, and then trim to fit?

did you wire the cables behind the carpet?

as of now the heat hasnt been a prob. it has goten up to 104 with out ac =-( and never went dead..

yes i made the cut out just smaller than the amp then did a lil triming.

i think in one of the pics it shows how i put the cables behind everything.. the 4th one down shows it a bit. that is with everthing hooked up.

Unless you do audio work for a living or paying hobby i think you did an awesome job.... and i applaud the use of cardboard box to prefab and save time and $ on wood. A+ from me thanks for sharing

just like i did with the sub box i made a cut out with card bored then traced it on to the panle then went to cutting.. =-)

do the sub boxes take away any of the already limited leg room?
that looks amazing. great job!

in the back? no not at all.. that was the plan. i was thinking about making the box go from one side to the other but then people would be chillin on the boxes..

how much airspace do those boxes have? do you think you could post some better measurements? thanks

did u put rubber washer or bushings behind the amp if you didnt your amp wont last long it will make a ground to that metal body

looks good, but im banning you from ever owning zip ties again

This is a brilliant idea and I really like the way it looks. I'm definitely going to have to look into doing this when I get my 12in sub.
