has anyone moved the spring hangers under the frame to get more lift on the bronco 2's. the same set up as an explorer just spring over. i was thinking of doing this i was told if the springs are closer together you get more flex plus i think i would get about 6in of lift without having to by springs.

Moving the springs farther in would increase the flex... and bodyroll on the street.

They would also hang down below the frame, tending to get caught on things... It would be simpler to install a lift shackle or (forgive me) blocks:icon_surprised:

I was also looking into this...

I have a set of stock exploder front mounts that look like they would fit perfect. I'm just kinda stumped for the rear. The frame is not boxed and I would like to know the best way to install a "typical" H-style shackle.

Do you think that the c-channel frame is sturdy enough to hold up to mounting a shackle like that? Maybe a removable crossmember that would also protect the gas tank?

well if you are doing it on a bronco 2 there is a cross member in front and behind the gas tank and it has a skid plate i think it will be plenty strong im just going to weld it on.
