Biggest Ranger In Jersey???

Installed the new distributor and powder coated water pump housing with electric pump and the aeromotive fuel pressure regulator

You had said that the motor came out of a vette? Did you actually see the car run or not. I am 99.9% positive that all vette's with a LT1 and a TPI setup had aluminum heads. If you bought the motor from someone else you might want to call their bluff. The only cars that had cast head and an LTI were the Caprices 9C1's (police cars) and 94-96 Impala SS's.

Good eye exactly right I took off the aluminum heads to rebuild them but figured they werent going to be anywhere near enough so I threw on a pair from a 9c1 that were rebuilt not that long ago from another project. This is only to make sure the swap has no issues (EFI/computer/wiring) and to put around when everthing else is finished at that point its coming out to get work done. Fully forged 383 kit and afr heads.....the list is endless and expensive

That's cool. I wasn't trying to call your bluff...just making sure you didn't get screwed and had bought the motor from a another. Because the 4.3 V8 looks the same.

Thanks for the look out I learned that one a while ago my buddy wanted a 9c1 i told him to check the vin for k code if i remember correctly. Im actually wondering if the 383 will be enough even worked pretty hard Im not sure I can get the torque I need anybody think it will work? Or do I go big block

7.3 psd with tons of extras

I figured cummins if I go that route but there a hell of alot more expensive then the power strokes only thing is I dont know shi# about them so it would be a little harder then a big block, definetly something to look into

Yeah nice something out of the ordinary its not your everyday run of the mill truck so I want to set it apart from the crowd in every aspect but still keep it lighter then all of the rigs this size thats one reason I went with the ranger 2-3000lbs lighter then the other trucks i considered for this build

The 383 could work, depends what all mods you're doing to it. Either way this beast is looking good.

truck is sweet,a diesel could do some damage,a 24 valve cummins would be easy, and a chip, intercooler, and turbo would give 400+hp, and 600+torque, that would be sweet too.she would find the bottom of a hole quick!!

I talked to a few cummins gurus that I know locally both of them said the same thing an industrial block cummins (same style block thats in the 3500s) from a big generator or water pump because they are thicker and can take much more fuel and boost once worked up. I think this is the way to go I posted the the LT1 on craigslist already

It would be the older style 12v with less electronics to get wet

hemi mybe or a 440 would be bad ass; old hemi not the new

mopar??? he wants it to run, not look pretty :P

i say a 7.3PSD or 460.

if you wanna be "out of the oridinary", maybe a CAT c7 if you can find one.

now thats what im talking about what did they come in
