I have started having a weird problem, when I take off in 1st(5-speed) I can hear the ignition through the FM radio. It doesn't do it every time but is doing it more and more. I don't hear it in any other gear or reverse. All the tune-up stuff is new but I used the cheapest dist. cap Oreilly's had, could that be it? I can also hear it through the AM radio all the time with it running.
It runs good except for the idle not being smooth most times.

is it a stock or aftermarket radio?Iknow that the grounds on aftermarket stereos can pickup noise double check ur wiring conections and check ur electrical system as well
the noise supressor is beside the coil though i might be wrong. hope this helps

It is a stock radio. My plug-ins look good,I have checked them numerous times trying to find the problems I had with running rich before. The "noise suppresor" on the coil doesn't look so good,it is really rusty,it's on there but not real solid. Can this be replaced? Thanks.
