Hi all,
I'm new here.

It's true, I don't actually own a 100% Ford truck. But my method of "no-dollar" fabrication makes me explore ALL makes and models for whatever parts they have to offer (that are the best of the best).
That means I'm always adapting parts and brackets to get the pieces to fit and work. That's the fun of it, because I'm a little :icon_twisted:

That's about it in a nutshell.

Lets see some pics of the monstrosity :D
I'm all for some southern ingenuity :icon_thumby:

link = Project: TrenchBuster
... but I warn you, it's not a Ford.

Somewhere around page 18 has some newer pics.
I'm not sure if I have the new slide bumper pics posted there yet
(it's made out of 1993 Isuzu Amigo rollbars and some angle iron) :icon_twisted:

Haha how do you manage to get ranger parts in a ramcharger? :icon_rofl:

I like ramchargers though so it's all good :icon_cheers:

What parts cross referenced???

Like the pot-leaf exterior, pretty good camo.
Dig the site as well, you a founder?

I first started looking at Rangers and Broncos as donors when I did the custom 3" suspension lift. I had the classic issue of the front shocks not being long enough after the lift.
I tried any shocks I could find (at the boneyard) that could possibly fit. Many tries and many weeks later, I found that the rear Ranger shocks work perfect for the front of my newly lifted Ram.
In fact, they're a touch stiff, which allows me to add the weight of a slide bumper in front.

I also have a Bronco part on there somewhere but for the life of me, I can't remember what the hell it was.

What parts cross referenced???

That's one of the reasons I'm here.
I was hoping I could gain some of that knowledge here.

One of the modifications I'm planning is a leaf spring swap. I'm still not sure what make and model the donors will be.

What pot leaves??
I don't see any pot leaves :icon_confused:

LOL, that's palm frawns.
If it was pot leaves, I'd be pulled over daily here in Florida.

I'm the admin
It's one of my rain day side projects, and gives me a place to post my crazy ideas.
Most of the forums out there are dedicated to one thing (like ford or chevy, or cooking duck), and if someone like me, a dodge owner, tries to get info from say, a toyota site, I usually get the cold shoulder or flamed.
So I created my own place where all makes and models are cool.

We don't mind any make, model or creed, as long as you have a mag-light holder mounted to the A-pillar mount!!!

it's a proven fact.......... don't put too much thought into it.

Frank

You will get ragged on, but it's not like a site that begins with "P" and ends in 4x4.com. Lots of guys on here are open to fabrication. I'm sure you will fit in just fine. Welcome to TRS!:icon_thumby::icon_cheers:

i have ramcharger springs on my ranger

the red logo looks awesome :icon_thumby:

Thanks.
It's done with standard spray paint (from lowes) and a masking tape stencil.
The biggest trick to getting it to stick to glass is that after you spray it (many coats), you should let it bake in the direct sun for a full day, then go around every edge with a blade to separate the paint from the tape (before you pull the stencil)

That was the second try that's pictured.
The first try I did it all wrong and it chipped badly when I removed the tape.
