Picture of diamond plate under tailgate after body lift

I would love to see a picture of someone's truck that has put the diamond plate under the tailgate after a body lift install. Thanks in advance.

I know on the 97 and older trucks, some don't have a choice...but 98+ kits come with bumper brackets.

your right about the 98+ coming with brackets but if you have a trailer hitch it doesn't relocate it, and it looks like crap with the bumper lifted and the hitch 2-3 inches below it. I shitcanned all of it and built a tube bumper

Most of the bumper relocation brackets are for cosmetic only. If you want to pull anything either keep the bumper where it is or move it up and install a receiver hitch. Here is a pic of mine.

Nothing a grinder and welder doesn't cure....I lifted my hitch 2.5". And to be precise....the bumper and hitch gap would be 3" MORE than what it was before...

Of course the hitch doesn't get relocated...ITS MOUNTED TO THE FRAME!! lol.

I do, but only because I never tow anything substantial.
If I tow anything GVW'd over about 1500 lbs I use a larger truck with a proper hitch.
