anybody in here got a smittybilt 8000 lb winch. how well do they work, and will it mount easily to my front bumper. i just wanna drive around and pull jeeps out of the mud. haha, jk, i want one just incase.

if i can get a good, used warn for under $500, im gonna get the smittybuilt.

i wont use it much either but better prepared than stranded.

I have one, it has paid for itself already with one pull (both the guy I was wheeling with and I were stuck, used the winch to pull me out). But as of now, I have no complaints, especially for the price. It's pull speed isn't bad, seems to be very strong. Just get a snatch block to take some of the stress of it, and double your pull strength and you should have no problem with it.

How are you thinking of mounting it? Do you have a custom bumper, or a grille/brush guard with a winch mount?
