what kind of exhaust is anyone running on a 2.3l. Just curious, i have a glass pack with a straight pipe coming out right before the pass rear tire. it is so freaking loud my daughter wont ride with me anymore, she is 2 so she gets scared she says. Has anyone ever ran duals and come out behind the rear tires but between the body and leaf spring, like the old nova's did. Let me know.

There is no reason to run duals on a 2.3....

I'm running a bolt in 3" highflow cat, and 2.5" all the way back from there... OEM style dynomax setup....
2.3 came stock with headers. That's about all you need. Unless you're boosted there's no reason to have the exhaust wide open, you lose all your bottom end power.

On mine, after the cat, is a section of 2.25 inch pipe going into a y-pipe into dual 2.25 inch pipes, coming right out the back with dual 3 inch glasspack tips. I keep on having people ask if i have a 4.0, and i smile and say, nope.....2.3

Yea, u can run duals on ur 2.3 L. Just remeber don't go over 2.25 inch diameter pipe, and if u don't want it to sound extremely annoying and loud, get a chambered muffler rather than a glass pack. Glasspacks are loud as shit and sometimes they can be obnoxious if u have a 4 banger. U could do what Z3CHYD did, and run em without a muffler (straight piped). The choice is up 2 u, u do what u wanna do. Hope this helps a little bit, take care.

Yeap, honestly, my setup isnt that loud, and it doesnt have ANY cab noise, i used to have a glasspack with a 45 degree bend out the side, but in the cab you couldnt hear anything, but my setup now is just loud enough to be hear outside the vehicle, but doesnt get you any unwanted attention

Yep, but round were i live, theres alot of Mennonite churches, and i always driving by with the pipes screaming, and they look at me like im the devil....lol i guess its the maltese crosses and the death metal i always play haha
