can i run a 302 with my stock 2 inch pipes?

You could, but i wouldn't do it. I don't think it would sound rite with that small of pipes. If u can, swap out your stock 2 inch diameter pipes and replace em with 2.5 inch diameter pipes, that should free up the flow exhaust enough for it to sound like a V8

smallest id run on a v8 is 2 1/4 mandrel bent, your stock exhaust is 2'' press bent so in some areas it could be as small as 1 7/8. so id def. recommend an upgrade.

ya but its temporary. a mandrel bent exhaust from block back would be near a thousand bucks!

mandrel is hard to get round here and aint cheap. and i figured in the headers in that number

ok with headers i can see that. if you go press bent, get 2 1/2 inch, this will make up the diff. i get my exhaust done madrel bent with mufflers for 350 around here. manifold/headers back true duals. but i know some people

of the hundreds of parts on a vehicle the exhaust is the only part i have NO "hook ups" with... hehe guess ill just have to run it off the block!
