Broke off the lobes on the double carden, not sure if it is the original rear drive shaft so am wondering witch years b2 and rangers I can swap from the junk yard? Would appreciate any help.

you should be able to swap it from any B2 with the same tranny. the ranger shafts are longer as i remember. i think that any other double carden shaft out of a b2 will fit. for instance my 84 has a 4 speed and so does my 86 and ive swaped the shafts befor with out any problems.

How far away from TN are ya?
I've got one out of an 84 B2, 5 spd...it will need u joints.

:icon_cheers:

tranny is a c5 zipcode is 49457

Do you happen to have a pic of your driveshaft? C5 obviously isn't stock, do you know what transfer case you have or is it 2wd?

Still looking for a cheap replacement if anyone has one laying around?

I still got mine man, I have to make double sure it's the same. I am not familiar with the auto B2's at all & don't want to send you the wrong d/s. Soon as I find out I will send you a p.m.

Maybe I am wrong...anybody know if the 84 B2 came with a C5 auto & does it use the same driveshaft as the 5 spd? I know nothing at all about the auto B2's. :icon_confused:

C3 and C5 were available in 84. Pretty sure it's a different length, but easy enough to check with a tape measure...
