Im wondering if anyone has the Jet power module programmer and if so how well does it work. Im interested in getting one just wanna know if its worth the coin?

IM guessing nobody has one... or nobody cares to help me out im orderin one also getting a brand new crate motor with it, ill post on how it performs

I was going to buy a Jet unit, until I did some checking around. Seems few like their product, and some even claim to have lost power. I went with a Superchips Cortex and love it.

I'm not familiar with the programer but I have to say that I bought a Jet chip for 250 bucks and I installed it and ran it for about a week. I was not happy with it at all. It screwed up my tranny shift points and I lost 2 mpg. No real increase in HP or torque. Am researching programers myself. Looking for something that will give my truck a little more pop when I'm towing my camper.

Superchips (Cortex) says on the dyno my 07 gains 13+hp and 19+tq. I can honestly feel it "in the pants". I chose them for many reasons, incl their 2yr powertrain warrenty. With my automatic, the shifts are much firmer, and unlike Jet, I can prog in what I want.:yahoo:

Great info.... i've been looking into this, I stacked two programmers (one for fuel, one for timing) on my Diesel, but have heard they are not the same animal on a gasser.

I have the JET chip, that plugs into the back of the ECU. Throttle feels more responsive. I see that it runs cooler.

well seems its hit or miss on these things for you guys. I do already have a jet chip that plugs into the ecu already. I was very happy with the throttle improvement and the gas mileage was amazing al long as i kept out of it. And i have not got the pogrammer itself in yet. Comes in Tuesday ill post on it:icon_thumby:

pishamus

OK Pishamus the jet programmer does have 3 settings that are already programmed from the jet factory... or the option to totally customize shift firmness, top speed limiter, transmission shift points, fan cooling temps, reset speedometer to account for oversize tires, and the usual check and clear error codes.

Nice that the Jet Programer has some options available to the user.
How much does the Jet Programer run?
If you have the chip and you're happy with it why drop more money for the handheld programer?

I was referring to their module that plugs into the CPU. With it you are stuck with whatever they put into it. Does the Jet programmer allow you to get free upgrades via computer as Superchips does as they come out? Superchips just came out with yet another program called "Mileage XS Save." It is supposed to allow maximum MPG. This would now be 4 (5?) programming options with the Cortex.
