hey me again im looking to bag my ranger and want it to lay frame but i've been told/ realized my tranny cross member and torsion bar is in the way does anybody know a solution to this problem? such as an aftermarket cross member designed for this problem or know if people switch them out for a different one if you could get back to me that would be sweet

get a raised crossmember

You can see if james duff will sell just the cross member thy have for the RA kit thy have or have someone fab you one like it.

I know for the older rangers up to 97 they sell them at suicidedoors.com As far as anything newer i think you have to fab them yourself. I havent looked into it that much as i was just planing to make my own and can see paying $80 or more plus shipping for a bend peice of 2"x 3/16" peice of steel.

thanks so much everyone but all the stuff on the ebay site is for older rangers do you think i would be able to put it on my 02 ranger

LOL if you look at the pics. A lot of good a trans x member is gonna do with you exhaust still hanging below the frame. :headbang:
Just thought that was funny

The crossmember is designed to clear the stock exhaust so people with static drops dont have to mess with anythiing else. Of course most people that are doing air ride may need to redo some of there exhaust or modify it. But at least the new crossmember will allow them to lay true frame. They also help out with the lifted guys as well if they need more ground clearance.
