Did ford make an overhead console for a gen 1 ranger? There is a Gen 1 ranger with one here at a local junk yard. I have never seen one, just wondering if its aftermarket. got some pics on my phone as soon as I get them off ill post the pics. It has a light that you can point in just a bout any direction and a small screen that apears to display date and time. Simple but looks unique.

Dunno about Rangers but some Gen1 Bronco II's had them. I got one out of the last BII that I parted out. It does have the clock and the light.

I did a google search and found nothing. But I think it is worth going back and pulling it, just incase the truck ends up on the crushing block. That is if the price is right

my gen 1 ranger had the 4x4 switch etc in the over head console

The '86-88 had a different style with two map lamps wiht a polarizing tint to the lense to control glare.

I have the second style ('86-88) one in my truck that has the clock instead of
the 4x4 switches, but in my next remake.

I got one of those out of a gen 1 xls I parted out years ago( In the early stages of my addiction before I knew much about em, wish I still had it)

Anyway, the clock/maplight thingy is now in my 84 B2, wish I had 2 more for my 85 B2 & 84 ranger.

Why I'm working on putting the exp. OHC in my first gen. seems to fit fine but I have yet to put the headliner back up yet. I;m having other issues with the truck now.

Yeah, I would like the sploder one, but they usually cost a little more of what I don't have.

I like the cheaper one & it doesn't hurt so much to drill holes to mount a compact cb on the bottom!
