Anyone have experience with this brand? I was looking at a clutch/slave cyl combo on the 'Bay made by LuK, but I haven't heard anything about them before.

I believe Luk is the manufacturer of the original equipment clutches Ford puts in their trucks at the factory.

It's good stuff.

I've had one in mine for the last 65,000km's and I've had atleast 33's and now 35's with it and mine works great. I bought the performance version (I'm trying to find you a P/N) and it holds great, and never slips.

I bought a LUK through dialaclutch.com 7-8 years ago and it's still behind my 4.0 and in pretty good shape.

I had a Luk Pro Gold Performance clutch put into my old B3000. It was an awesome clutch. Got used offroading and towing a 3500# car plus a tow dolly. Never had an issue. Was still in great shape when I sold her.

Luk does make the OEM clutches for Ford. They are a very good brand.

I have seen two of them just fall apart, Just last month I replaced one in my 83 (all stock) because the friction disc broke at every spring. Didnt even have 20k on it. Just get a set that has a lifetime warranty.

They make stock clutches for GM as well. I know the clutches I put in both of my Z34's are LuK. Mine are also pull type instead of push type release, and they have held up just fine to over 200 hp being put through 10" wide tires pulling a 3400 lbs car.

Yep Ford GM and Jaguar. The company I work for made some tooling for them to assemble the clutches. Just did a large work order for them so they must be doing a large run.

after i blew the stock clutch in half in my old 89 i got a LUK Pro Gold. best clutch ive ever had. it held its own even when i wasnt nice to it

Its already been estsblished but again Luk is a very good clutch. That has been the brand ford has used ever since I can remember. At least back to 83 and used in all the Fords,Mustang Cobras included so they have to be good.Luks clutch plant was 15 miles from me(Wooster Ohio) but moved to Mexico early last year. There automatic transmission division is still 15 miles from me,for now anyway.

i have one and its been a good clutch. ive done many smoke shows and went thru many sets of rear tires and she has done well. the only thing thats kinda wierd is that it release strange from time to time. but i believe thats do to fords wonderful slave cylinders lol. besides that i would stand behind their product.

well heres my take on this. if its a street truck buy it! if you have big tires and play in the rocks or mud, then sometimes you will have to slip the clutch at low speeds. to get over a rough spot. luks eat yur flywheel. the clutch is good, but you can find a warped flywheel at the end of the day. what i do is get the cheap autozone lifetime deal, then change as you need em! free for life! only takes 4 hrs on a 4x4 to change.
