tubular tailgate concept

i recently chopped my X, and i do have a ranger tailgate i was gonna throw on. ive since decided, maybe making a tubular bumper with a swingaway tailgate tire rack? i got to designing on autocad...so, this is what i came up with...keep in mind, on the angled over triangular bar for the swingaway, thats where a spare tire would mount....similar to a prerunners setup i guess.

I built that one last year.

It opens either way and can flipped a complete 180 and have the tire stick out the other way if i need more bed space.

yea thats what i had in mind! lol i saw the tire idea on a baja truck but havent seen any others....thats sick man! what ya think of the bumper?

Looks like it would protect the qurater panels pretty well, I like it.
