ok so i need your guys' profesional help and fairly quickly.

i borrowed my grandparents 92 F150 2WD 5.8L pickup to haul my buddy's jeep when he broke an axle. the alternator went out so when i turned on the lights it would die. the gauges quit working and the odometer flashed error 3 the whole shabang. so now that we replaced the alternator i assumed it would work fine but now the error 3 message is reading across the digital odometer screen.

i looked on google and found out that it has something to do with the PSOM? or RABS or airbags... any of you fellers have an idea? i need to get this thing through DEQ by tuesday so i really need to know like today... thanks guys:icon_thumby:

there is two things i have heard that stim from that problem

A PSOM message of "ERROR 3" could possibly mean the conversion constant may need be programmed or that there is a fault in the signal used by the PSOM for the VSS function.

but i also have heard that it might be an issue with the ABS system(if equip with it).

but as usual someone on here will tell me im wrong or way off.

Dude thats wrong, your WAY off.:D

K so what you do is find out what is causing the problem, then get a reverberating atomizer (Big A$$ Hammer?) and give it a few good wacks. Either it will start working because it doesn't want to be hit any more or you hit it too hard and broke it, a win win in my book!:icon_thumby:

OK just kidding, it sounds like what he said might be your problem... is the battery fully charged? and you could always try un hooking the battery for like an hour or so possibly giving it time to reset cause even with the battery drained it would still have some power in it just not enough to do anything useful except keep the memory intact.
