Why so many?

My resolution on my monitor at school isn't even large enough to display all of them.

As soon as they're marked read, they stop showing up on a search of new posts. I just figured that out - they'd been annoying me too.

Right - they make sense in the individual forums. But the entire list shows up above all new posts when you do a search (until you mark each one as read).

I asked that the staff create and maintain a FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) Announcement in various forums so we can direct people there and try to cut down on the same questions asked over and over and over and over and ......

Once you view them they'll go away.

I'll be creating a new welcome message that will direct new members to all the FAQ's and recommend they view them before posting.
