I would really like to get a Macro-fish eye lens I think. I just thought it would be cool for pics of scenic ocen and canyon views. Plus those pic. are great I really like the first ranger logo.

imo, the pics could be centered/leveled a bit better but still a sweet lense. I like a lot of your other pics in your other threads. You don't happen to do stock photography do you? I could use a few pointers if you do.

I agree, thanks for your suggestion! I shot those photos without much time spent, I just got the lens, and snapped a few real quick.

What do you mean by stock photography?

I don't think I've ever had photoshoot in my driveway and if I ever were to i wouldn't take any time to set the pics up either lol.

As for stock photography, it's basically people that have very extensive portfolios. All typically very high quality and extemely high resolution(I've heard of pics being 100mb+). usually shot in raw, edited, and converted to png. Essentially what they do is have the pictures copyrighted and post them on sites like www.istockphoto.com. Once posted on there people can browse through the pictures and purchase which ones they like. I guess some people make really great money doing this. I have a few pics that i want to put up but i know nothing about copyrighting and don't want to get jacked haha

My photosharing site has that option:

http://smugmug.com/

You can setup copyrights, and water marks on your photos, and sell them directly from your site (created from smugmug). You have to have the professional account, which is about $149 / year. Let me know if you are interested, I can give you a referral which gets you a couple bucks off....

The TIF files that I create for publishing from my D300 RAW files are >70MB

ohh man, i don't think i'd ever pay someone to sell my photography. the way I see it, You're working for them and providing them with products to sell so why in the hell would you have to pay them in addition to that. Thanks for the referal offer though.

yeah i don't ever shoot in RAW. I personally have no need so I just use JPG and convert to png if I need something printed. As for a 70mb file, my computer would punch me in the face if I tried saving a file that large hahahaha.

Oh, I only shoot in RAW. I will be able to take full advantage of new post-processing software when it comes out in the future. I only archive RAW files.

Right now I use Nikon Capture NX2 for post-processing.

The bokeh on the 10.5mm f/2.8 fisheye is also outstanding!!!
