Northwoods Edition

I have a 1996 ford ranger 2.3l 5 speed 2wd standard cab ranger that is a northwoods edition has anyone heard of this before or some information on the background of it i would really like to know

If seen other ones and it seems to be common for them to be two toned with a silver bottom, but i think that its funny that its a 2.3 5 speed 2wd and its suppose to be a northwoods edition where automatically 4x4 would have been added, theres nothing different at all just i guess something special to be a northwoods

You from the upper mid-west? Was an option but never knew what made them different. Just another regional thing?

Based off of your description, I actually believe there is one of those at a car dealer here in my town. I'll take a closer look at it in a little bit, see if I can get some pictures.

in Minnesota, wisconsin and Iowa, ford had a "Northland Edition" Ranger during various times from the early'to mid 90's

Northwoods edition? I haven't heard anything about it. What's the distinction? Any more cool features?

Nothing special about them. Were a lot of the Northland Edition F-150's made but few Rangers. Decal all I can see.
