It's a fair price, average to low for the miles. With my daughter's car seat I have like 8 cup holders in a two seat truck :icon_cheers:. Not a con, but weird.
I don't think kids are allowed in the jumpseats. & no decent adult would want to sit in them.
There is an issue w/ the door ajar dummy light. Dome light stays on & dash chimes. Common prob Ford should recall.
Four liter o1's came w/ a SOHC motor, more balls :3gears:

Great truck, you'll love it.

Welcome!!

make sure to run the carfax report on it. i know it saved me from buying a salvage tiltle when i was looking for my first truck.

if you dont want to pay for it, go to pirate4x4.com, bulletin board register, and go to the "FREE STUFF" section and there are usually a couple threads where people have already paid for carfax and will run the VIN for free and send you the link.

good luck

I agree on the carfax. The door chime/light thing is so minor, the switch gets dirty in the latch and needs to be cleaned... just squirt some cleaner in there and it is good for damn near ever.

Just check it out really good, maybe even take it to an independant mechanic for a looksee. If it is at a stealership, have them throw in a 30 day warranty as part of the deal and read it to make sure it covers everything. These stealerships can and will do this if you demand it or no sale.

Sharp truck; congratulations!

The good: I think you'll really enjoy it.

The bad: Now you're going to waste countless hours hanging around here.

Just kidding! Really nice truck, and welcome to TRS.

Vin etched glass? can someone elaborate on that?

The VIN, or vehicle identification number, is put on all of the glass real small by an etching process. It makes the parts easier to trace if the truck gets stolen.

I would ask to see a record that a transmission service was performed around 30-35K miles. If it hasn't, I'd leave it. These transmissions must be serviced at their intervals or they will crap out. They're not very strong to begin with, but the 5 speed auto that's in the truck you're looking at is the strongest of the bunch.

I would not pass it up for that. It looks like a dealer is selling it, and dealers never give any receipts/service bills when the sell something. That truck will have a "55" series transmission since it has a 4.0L and they are relatively stout. My Explorer has a 4R55E that has not been touched aside from fluid changes in 150,000 miles and it is doing fine. It has spent much of the last few years towing a boat too, and I beat the snot out of it off road all the time.

On the subject of slushboxes, you may want to find a reputable transmission shop and have them do any periodic maintenance that model tranny requires now.
